Türkiye Hosts Palestinian Judges for Legal Training Program
(MENAFN) A delegation of Palestinian judges and prosecutors is taking part in an international training program in Türkiye focused on cybercrime and efforts to combat money laundering.
The 18-member delegation is headed by Palestinian Judicial Institute Director Wesam Salayma and is participating in the program organized by the Justice Academy of Türkiye.
The training is being conducted by the academy in cooperation with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and is scheduled to continue through Sept. 26, according to reports.
The initiative is being held under a memorandum of understanding between Türkiye and Palestine aimed at strengthening cooperation in the training and professional development of judges and prosecutors.
At the opening ceremony, Justice Academy of Türkiye President Metin Yildirim highlighted the longstanding relations between Türkiye and Palestine, saying judicial training cooperation could expand the sharing of expertise and knowledge between the two countries’ legal institutions.
Yildirim also welcomed the Palestinian delegation and said the academy would maintain its international judicial training activities while working to deepen partnerships with judicial institutions in friendly countries.
He also referred to the latest developments in Palestine and Gaza, expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people and stressed the importance of maintaining judicial training cooperation with Palestinian counterparts.
