Ethiopian Cargo Teams Up With Cargoai For Digital Bookings

(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Dhaka: Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services, the largest cargo network operator in Africa, has partnered with CargoAi as its strategic technology partner to strengthen its digital operations.

In an official announcement, Ethiopian Cargo said the collaboration marks a key step in the cargo carrier's digital roadmap, giving the airline the ability to offer real-time rate visibility and eBooking services to freight forwarders across the globe through CargoAi's platform.

Through the integration, more than 30,000 freight forwarders will get direct access to Ethiopian Cargo's global capacity and pricing, both via the CargoAi marketplace and through direct links to major transport management systems (TMS).

Ethiopian Cargo expects the tie-up would improve visibility, automation, and reach across multiple booking channels within its service network.

The partnership additionally allows the cargo carrier to tap into CargoAi's interline capabilities, supporting smoother and more transparent cooperation with airline partners through digital interline bookings and shared capacity management.

CargoAi describes itself as the leading vertical AI company in the air cargo sector, building on existing data connections with airlines, freight forwarders, ground handling agents, and airports by rolling out AI workers and agents aimed at automating cargo workflows.

Dereje Derero, Managing Director of Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services, said digitalization remains central to the carrier's long-term strategy, and the CargoAi partnership would bring its services closer to freight forwarders worldwide through a modern booking experience.

Matthieu Petot, CEO of CargoAi, said the partnership reflects a shared ambition to drive digital excellence in air cargo, noting that real-time access to capacity and pricing would empower forwarders while expanding Ethiopian Cargo's global and digital reach.
