Saudi Airstrikes on Yemen's Mokha Port Kill at Least Six
(MENAFN) Saudi airstrikes on the strategic Red Sea port city of Mokha killed at least six people and left eight others injured, according to a Tuesday report from a Houthi-affiliated news agency.
"Six civilians, including two children and a woman, were killed and eight others, including a child and a woman, were injured in Saudi-led airstrikes on Mokha," Saba said.
The strikes come amid Yemen's ongoing civil war, which pits the Houthis against the country's internationally recognized government — a government backed militarily by Saudi Arabia.
The report follows several days in which the Houthis have claimed responsibility for drone and ballistic missile strikes targeting the Saudi capital, Riyadh, as well as energy facilities along the kingdom's Red Sea coastline.
