Ukrainian Forces Strike Yaroslavl Oil Refinery, An-12, Two An-26S And Three Helicopters In Rostov, Says Zelensky
According to Ukrinform, the head of state announced this on Facebook.
“I thank our soldiers, who make the war a tangible reality for Russia every day. Last night, thanks to a joint operation by the SSU, the SBS, the Main Intelligence Directorate, and the Foreign Intelligence Service, the Yaroslavl Oil Refinery was struck. The Security Service also carried out a precise strike on a military airfield in Rostov-the destruction of one An-12 aircraft, two An-26s, and three helicopters has been confirmed. There have also been positive results in the Black Sea,” Zelensky said.
He noted that Ukraine is responding to the aggression.“Russia must choose peace,” the President emphasized.

As reported, the Slavneft-YANOS refinery processes about 15 million metric tons of crude oil per yea and is among the five largest Russian refineries. Its product range includes Euro 5-standard automotive gasoline and diesel fuel, jet fuel, lubricants, bitumen, paraffin-wax products, aromatic hydrocarbons, liquefied gases, and fuel oil.
The Slavneft–YANOS refinery was struck at least eight times in 2026: on March 28 April 26, May 8, May 22, July 6, July 16, August 6, and August 28.
