Eight Labourers Injured In Srinagar Road Accident
Officials said that the incident occurred in the Pirbagh area on the outskirts of Srinagar city.
Three injured people were reported to be in critical condition.
Reports said the vehicle's driver lost control before colliding with the electric pole. The injured were subsequently brought to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment.
The critically injured have been identified as Zahoor Ahmad, 27, a resident of Kupwara, who was driving the vehicle; Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat, 16, resident of Beerwah, Budgam; and Tanveer Ahmad Khan, 19, resident of Kupwara.
The other injured were identified as Nair Ahmad Kumar, 19, Ajaz Ahmad Sheikh, 26, Shahmeem Ahmad Khan, 25, Mohammad Qasim Sheikh, 27, and Kaisar Ahmed Teli, 19. All hail from Kupwara.
Further details regarding the circumstances leading to the accident and any police action were not immediately available.
