PM Modi Transformed India Into World's 4Th-Largest Economy, Says Bommai
Bommai visited the Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Adarsh Nagar and offered special prayers for the Prime Minister's good health, long life, and continued service to the nation. He also offered prayers at the Ganesh and Subramanya Swamy temples.
Speaking to reporters, Bommai said he prayed for the fulfilment of all resolutions undertaken by Prime Minister Modi and sought Lord Ganesha's blessings to remove obstacles in their implementation. He also prayed for the realisation of the vision of "Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat", an Aatmanirbhar Bharat and a Viksit Bharat.
He said Prime Minister Modi assumed office at a challenging time for the country and, through his leadership, transformed India into a strong nation and the world's fourth-largest economy. Bommai added that the Prime Minister was receiving greetings and blessings from people across the country on his 76th birthday.
According to Bommai, special prayers were being conducted at temples nationwide, while a month-long 'Seva Sankalpa' programme has been planned as part of the birthday celebrations, including the lighting of lamps in the evening.
He further said that India had faced economic and social challenges when PM Modi took charge and credited his government with ushering in significant transformation. Bommai also claimed that around 25 crore people had been lifted out of poverty during the Modi government's tenure.
Calling upon people to contribute towards nation-building, Bommai said Prime Minister Modi was working towards the ideals of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas" and "Sabka Prayas", and urged citizens to join efforts to realise the vision of a self-reliant India and a developed nation by 2047.
