Kim Kardashian Gets One Euro from Paris Robbery Ruling

(MENAFN) A Paris court has granted Kim Kardashian symbolic damages of €1 over the armed robbery she experienced in 2016, when she was held at gunpoint and had jewelry worth millions of euros stolen.

Her friend and stylist Simone Harouche, who was also at the residence during the incident, received the same symbolic amount.

“Today’s decision is not about the compensation, but about accountability and recognition,” they said in a statement provided to People magazine.

They expressed gratitude to the French justice system as well as those who supported them throughout the proceedings. They also said they hoped to continue moving forward from the psychological impact of the incident.

The robbery occurred in October 2016 while Kardashian was in Paris for Fashion Week and staying at the Hotel de Pourtales.

During the early morning hours, several men entered the property, with some reportedly disguising themselves as police officers. Kardashian was confronted at gunpoint, restrained with plastic ties and tape, and left inside a bathroom while the attackers searched the residence.

The assailants fled with jewelry valued at millions of euros, including an engagement ring given to Kardashian by her then-husband, rapper Kanye West. Much of the stolen jewelry has never been recovered.

French investigators arrested 17 people during the case. Ten defendants ultimately went on trial in Paris in 2025.
