China, Brazil Vow Deeper Ties as Wang Yi Meets Amorim in Beijing

(MENAFN) Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Special Advisor to the President of Brazil Celso Amorim met in Beijing on Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations and ways to expand cooperation, according to a state-run news agency.

Wang said China-Brazil relations have made a "leap forward" in recent years, evolving from a comprehensive strategic partnership into "a community with a shared future."

He called on both nations to deepen collaboration and tighten strategic coordination on pressing international and regional matters.

Amorim said Brazil is ready to work with China to "inject new connotations" into building a Brazil-China community with a shared future for a "more just world and a more sustainable planet."

The talks came as part of a two-day visit by Amorim that began Tuesday.
