Flight Booking Platform Soar Introduces Carbon Offsets Into Booking Flow

(MENAFN- GetNews) Flight booking platform Soar announced Soar Green, a checkout integration that allows passengers to fund certified carbon offsets with a single click. Developed with agroforestry non-profit Trees for the Future, the program calculates flight emissions and quotes an exact micro-donation that funds enough tree plantings to offset the trip's lifetime carbon footprint.

Miami, FL - September 16, 2026 - Flight booking platform Soar announced today the addition of carbon offset contributions directly into its flight booking flow through a new feature called Soar Green to combat the environmental impact from both AI and Flights. The integration lets passengers fund tree-planting initiatives at the exact moment of ticket purchase.

Soar Green connects directly with the global tree-planting effort Trees for the Future. When a user selects a flight, the platform calculates the route emissions and generates an optional micro-donation amount. This donation funds the planting of enough trees to capture the equivalent volume of carbon over their operational lifespan.

"The environment is always a big topic around both AI and Flight booking", was said in this tweet.

This donation is a small donation, floating mostly between two and twenty dollars. Their pricing is $0.75 per tree planted. The feature is live now for all users, and is available at the last screen of the booking page.

About Soar

Soar is a direct flight booking platform and travel copilot designed to eliminate airline checkout friction and hidden fees. Founded in 2026 by Henry Langmack and Alex Slater, the company raised a $1 million pre-seed round at a $10 million valuation.

The company builds automated background tools to handle post-booking logistics on behalf of passengers. Its software automatically monitors fare changes to secure price-drop rebooking refunds, files delay compensation claims under federal regulations, and delivers boarding passes via automated 24-hour check-in over text message.

The platform also offers an agent called Sky, which lives in your text messages, both for convenience and for when flights offer text-only wifi.
