Jordan Adds Chinese To Tourist Site Signage
Amman, Sept. 16 (Petra) -- The Ministry of Public Works and Housing added Chinese-language signage at tourist sites nationwide, aiming to boost readiness for Chinese visitors and ease their navigation and experience in the kingdom.
The move builds on outcomes from His Majesty King Abdullah II's recent visit to China, including agreements and memoranda of understanding, and reflects field needs amid expected growth in Chinese tourist arrivals, Ministry spokesperson Omar Maharmeh told Petra in an interview on Wednesday.
Maharmeh said the addition is expected to support efforts to boost Chinese tourism to Jordan and capitalize on Jordanian-Chinese cooperation in tourism-related fields.
