Infrastructure Facility Catches Fire In Poltava Region Following Strike, Air Pollution Possible


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Vitalii Dyakivnych, head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"In Poltava District, an enemy strike caused a fire at an infrastructure facility. The fire engulfed a warehouse building. Preliminary reports indicate that there were no injuries," he said.

Dyakivnych added that the fire could temporarily cause air pollution from combustion products in nearby areas.

Residents are advised to close their windows and limit the time they spend outdoors.

"At the same time, there is no direct threat to the lives or health of residents of the surrounding villages. The situation is under the control of emergency services," he stressed.

As Ukrinform reported, during the night of September 16, a Russian drone struck an industrial facility in the Poltava region.
