G. Patrick O'brien

Patrick O'Brien is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Department of History, Geography, and Legal Studies at the University of Tampa. He specializes the history of the American Revolution, the colonists who remained loyal to the crown, and the resulting loyalist diaspora. His current book project explores the exile and return of one British-sympathizing family from Massachusetts.
Patrick holds a B.A. from Providence College, an M.A. from McGill University, and a Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina.
