- PhD Candidate in English Literature and Environmental Humanities, University of Bristol
I am an AHRC-funded PhD student with joint supervision at the University of Bristol and Aberystwyth University. My thesis is on the georgic in a time of environmental crisis, asking how a classical poetic form might rise to meet the challenges of our present.
As an MA student at King's College London my research focus was on environmental humanities and cultural materialism. My dissertation, 'Mortgaged to the Grasping Soil: Land and Labour in the Poetry of R.S. Thomas won the Raymond Williams Society Simon Dentith Memorial Prize, and was published In Key Words: A Journal of Cultural Materialism.
