Partisans Cut Power To Voronezh Plant Producing Components For Iskander, Kh-101 Missiles
According to the statement, after extensively studying the facility, carefully planning the operation and identifying its vulnerabilities, an ATESH agent managed to infiltrate an electrical substation near the VZPP-Zborka plant. After bypassing security, the agent destroyed the main switchgear supplying power to the plant and then safely left the city, the statement said.
ATESH said the plant is a key producer of electronic components for Russian military missiles. It manufactures integrated circuits, power switches and power supply units for the onboard computers and navigation systems of Kh-101 missiles; automation and control-unit components for Iskander-K systems; as well as semiconductors for the radars and fire-control systems of Pantsir-S air defense gun-and-missile systems.
The operation caused a sharp voltage surge and power outages in the plant's workshops, while restoring the facility's full power supply took several weeks. During that period, deliveries of key components for the systems were disrupted, which, according to ATESH, directly delayed the production of the missiles and air defense systems.
