Over UAH 131 Billion In 2027 Budget Revenues Depend On Parliament's Action Pidlasa

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukrinform reports this, citing Roksolana Pidlasa, chair of the parliamentary Budget Committee, in a Facebook post.

“More than UAH 131 billion of the projected revenues will materialize only if Parliament adopts amendments to the Tax Code, for example, by increasing VAT by 1 percentage point and fuel excise duties by 4 percentage points. (I personally consider such changes unlikely),” the lawmaker wrote.

Receiving another UAH 52.5 billion in budget revenues is contingent on extending the 50% tax on banks' profits and the President signing into law legislation on the taxation of digital platforms, she added.

“Finally, the law on parcels could bring the budget almost UAH 12 billion (not including, of course, the 2026 macro-financial assistance tranche),” Pidlasa noted.

She also said that partners have so far confirmed $20 billion in funding for 2027, out of the $52.6 billion needed. Another $32.6 billion remains unfunded, an amount exceeding combined expenditures on social protection, education, and healthcare.

As reported, the draft State Budget for 2027 provides for an 8.7% increase in revenues to UAH 5.6 trillion and a 13.5% increase in expenditures to UAH 7.3 trillion. The need for international assistance is estimated at $52.6 billion.
