It is noted that in all regions, a majority of residents - ranging from 83% in Kyiv to 68% in the East - believe that Ukraine should continue its armed resistance despite everything.
The KIIS survey was conducted from August 21 to September 10, 2026, using telephone interviews based on a random sample covering all regions of Ukraine under government control. A total of 1,003 respondents aged 18 and over were surveyed.
Under normal circumstances, the formal margin of error for a sample of this size (with a 0.95 confidence level and taking into account a design effect of 1.3) would not exceed 4.1% for figures close to 50%, 3.5% for figures close to 25%, 2.5% for figures close to 10%, and 1.8% for figures close to 5%.
Under wartime conditions, in addition to the formal margin of error indicated above, there is also a certain degree of systematic bias.
