Arab Bodies Condemn Houthi Attacks Targeting Saudi Arabia
Amman, Sept 15 (Petra) -- Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy condemned ongoing attacks targeting Saudi territory on Tuesday, which resulted in civilian injuries and property damage, describing them as an unacceptable violation of the kingdom's sovereignty and regional stability.
Fahmy expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and supported the measures it takes to protect its security, stating that the kingdom's safety is an integral part of Arab national security. He warned that continued strikes against Arab nations escalate regional tensions and threaten stability.
The Muslim World League (MWL) also condemned the Houthi militia's continued aggression against Saudi Arabia, citing attacks using ballistic missiles and drones targeting the cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif that injured civilians and damaged vehicles and residential properties. The MWL reiterated its support for Saudi measures to deter aggressors and protect citizens and residents.
The General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers Council (AIMC) strongly denounced the strikes, calling them a blatant violation of international law and a disgraceful act of aggression aimed at destabilizing the region. The council reaffirmed its full alignment with Saudi Arabia in protecting its assets, security, and population.
