Zelensky: Ukraine To Sign Additional Contracts For Railway Protection Systems
“Today, I held a meeting of the Staff [of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief] specifically on the protection of critical infrastructure, Ukraine's energy sector, and logistics. A lot of attention was paid to the railway. I want to specifically thank all our male and female workers at Ukrzaliznytsia for their absolutely professional and courageous work,” Zelensky said.
The President noted that the Russians consider Ukraine's railway one of their primary targets. However, despite delays, strikes, and damage, Ukrzaliznytsia continues to operate, and Ukraine is maintaining its logistics network.
“There will be additional contracts for systems that will strengthen the protection of the railway, border crossings, and other Ukrzaliznytsia facilities, and a decision to that effect has been made,” he said.

“This is not an abstract issue - it is about Ukraine's survival,” Zelensky stressed.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha urged Ukraine's partners to help the country find and purchase locomotives amid systematic Russian attacks on the railway.
