Qatar Chamber And Addis Ababa Review Ways To Enhance Cooperation
Doha: HE Rashid bin Hamad Al-Athba, Second Deputy Chairman of the Qatar Chamber, met with Ms. Zahra Mohamed, Chairperson of the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who is currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, ways to enhance relations between the two sides and develop cooperation between business owners and investors in Qatar and Ethiopia were reviewed, along with discussing the available investment opportunities in several sectors.
Al-Athba stated that a number of Qatari investors have successful investments in Ethiopia, particularly in the agriculture and healthcare sectors, emphasizing the Qatar Chamber's support for strengthening cooperation between Qatari and Ethiopian companies and facilitating communication between business owners and investors from both sides, contributing to the establishment of partnerships and joint investments.
For her part, Ms. Zahra Mohamed provided an overview of the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the investment climate, and the available opportunities in Ethiopia, highlighting the main sectors where Qatari investors can invest, including agriculture, industry, mining, and real estate. She also reviewed the facilities and incentives provided by her country to attract foreign investments in various sectors.
