We Have Never Waged War Against Civilians As This Is Contrary To The Mentality Of Our People - President Ilham Aliyev

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 15. During the Second Garabagh War, we targeted only military formations. Unlike Armenia, we have never waged war against unarmed civilians, President Ilham Aliyev said at a meeting in Baku with participants of international conferences.

"This is contrary to both the mentality and traditions of our people. I said back during the war that we must take our revenge on the battlefield, and we did so to the fullest extent. The blood of our martyrs was not spilled in vain," the head of state added.

To note, on September 15, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, members and observers of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Boards of the Organization of Turkic States, as well as a delegation comprising co-organizers of the Yahya Bakuvi International Conference and members of the Supreme Religious Council of Caucasian Peoples.
