I am the Matthew Flinders Professor of Global Ecology (globalecologyflinders) in the College of Science and Engineering at Flinders University in Adelaide. I am also a Chief Investigator in the Centre of Excellence for Indigenous and Environmental Histories and Futures (ciehf), and a founding member of Future Child Health (futurechildhealth).
I have a broad range of research interests including population dynamics, extinction theory, palaeo-ecology, sustainable harvest, disease ecology, human demography, climate change impacts on biodiversity and human health, invasive species, and sustainable energy systems.
