Kuwait, 15 September 2026: Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc, a world-class digital leader providing innovative services and platforms to customers, enabling the digital transformation in Kuwait, organized stc run at Assima Mall as part of its back-to-school activities for employees and their families. The experience brought children together through a combination of educational challenges, physical activity and entertainment, creating an engaging way to celebrate the start of the new academic year. The event was held in the presence of Ahmad Al-Murad, Chief Business Excellence Officer at stc.
As part of stc run, children took part in a series of school-inspired challenges that combined physical activity with educational elements in a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. Drawing inspiration from different school subjects, the activities encouraged children to think, move, explore and use their senses as they progressed through each challenge. The combination of learning and movement kept the experience engaging and added a sense of excitement throughout the day. Upon completing the challenges, each child received a medal in recognition of their achievement and participation.
The back-to-school experience also included a dedicated activity at the stc Bookshop, where children were invited to choose their own school stationery and supplies ahead of the new academic year. Giving them the freedom to select the items they preferred added a personal touch to the day and made the preparation for school more enjoyable. It also gave children a greater sense of involvement in getting ready for the year ahead, making the activity a meaningful part of the overall experience.
Each child also received a Play card, giving them access to a variety of arcade games and soft play activities at the entertainment destination in Assima Mall. This added another enjoyable element to the day, giving children the opportunity to unwind and have fun while spending more time with their families. The activity complemented the wider back-to-school experience and helped maintain the lively atmosphere throughout the event.
While the initiative was primarily organized for stc employees and their families, stc run was also opened to the public on the same day, allowing stc customers and visitors to Assima Mall to take part in the experience. The wider participation helped create an inclusive atmosphere around the initiative and extended the back-to-school activities to more families across the community.
Commenting on the initiative, Ahmad Al-Murad, Chief Business Excellence Officer at stc, said, “At stc, we place great importance on creating experiences that bring our employees and their families together beyond the workplace. The back-to-school season gave us an opportunity to do this in a way that was relevant to both parents and children, combining learning, movement and entertainment in one experience. We wanted the children to enjoy the occasion while also taking part in activities that encouraged curiosity, participation and a sense of achievement. Creating these moments for our people and their families is an important part of how we continue to build a positive and engaging environment across stc.”
Al-Murad added, “Our commitment to our employees extends beyond the workplace. We aim to create an environment that supports their well-being and sense of belonging, while also providing opportunities for their families to be part of experiences that reflect our culture. Initiatives such as stc run allow us to bring this commitment to life in a way that is engaging and relevant to our employees. We will continue to invest in initiatives that contribute to employee well-being and create meaningful experiences that bring our stc community closer together.”
