Shipping Through Strait Of Hormuz Falls Sharply

(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) "> KABUL(Pajhwok): The number of ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz has fallen sharply as fighting in the Middle East continues, Reuters reported.

According to shipping data cited by Reuters, only four commodity vessels crossed the strategic waterway on Monday, compared with about 125 daily crossings before the conflict.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world's most important energy routes, carrying a major share of global oil and liquefied natural gas.

The reduction in shipping is increasing concerns about global energy supplies.
