Over 16M Afs Bridge Being Built In Daikundi


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) "> NEILI (Pajhwok): Construction work has been initiated on a motorable bridge at a cost of 16.46 million in the central Daikundi province, an official announced Tuesday.

Funded by the Ministry of Public Works (MoPW), the bridge was being built on the Ahingaran River in Ashtarlay district of the province, Public Works Director Mawlawi Ikramullah Abdul Rafi told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said the bridge would be 22 metres long and 7.7 metres wide and was expected to be completed to a high standard within 11 working months.

He added that upon completion, the project would improve the transport route between Ashtarlay district and the provincial capital and help resolve some of the transportation problems faced by local residents.
