Qatar's Summer Outdoor Work Hours Restriction Ends September 15

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Labour has reminded employers to continue complying with occupational safety and health measures as the regulated summer outdoor working hours restriction comes to an end today, September 15, 2026.

In a social media post, the Ministry stressed that taking the necessary preventive measures to protect workers is essential to ensuring a safe working environment.

The regulated outdoor working hours were enforced from June 1, prohibiting work in open areas between 10am and 3:30pm during the summer months.

The measure is part of national efforts to protect workers from heat-related risks and ensure a safe working environment during the summer.

The Ministry said the regulation is implemented in accordance with Ministerial Decision No. 17 of 2021 on heat stress protection measures.
