New Israeli Attacks Injure Palestinians in Gaza Despite Ceasefire

(MENAFN) At least 21 Palestinians, including four children, are injured in separate Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Monday, despite a ceasefire that has been in effect since October.

Ten Palestinians sustain injuries when an Israeli strike hits a tent on Al-Wahda Street in central Gaza City, according to medical sources.

Two of those wounded are reported to be in “critical” condition. Witnesses say the attack struck a crowded area where displaced Palestinians were sheltering near Al-Wafa Hospital.

In another incident, eight Palestinians, including four children, are injured after an Israeli drone launches two missiles at a gathering of civilians near a tent housing displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

Two of those injured are also described as being in “critical” condition and are receiving intensive care at Nasser Hospital.

Separately, a young Palestinian man suffers moderate injuries when Israeli military vehicles open fire in an area east of Khan Younis, according to medical reports.

Witnesses also report heavy gunfire from Israeli vehicles toward residential buildings and tents used by displaced Palestinians in areas east and south of Khan Younis.
