US Slaps 50 Percent Tariffs on 110 Canadian Products

(MENAFN) A fresh round of US tariffs on Canadian goods went into effect just after midnight Tuesday, hitting 110 products with steep 50% levies.

The newly targeted goods span a wide range of categories, including certain cheeses, motorboats, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), and furniture.

The move deepens an already tense trade standoff between Washington and Ottawa, widening the list of Canadian products subject to elevated US duties.

It lands amid a broader tariff dispute between the two countries, with both governments having already imposed — or threatened — measures affecting billions of dollars in bilateral trade.
