ISCP Hosts Ground Floor Open Studios Event

(MENAFN- USA Art News) The International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) will host an exclusive open studios event for Hyperallergic members, contributors, and staff on September 30. The event will feature seven Ground Floor residents from New York City, providing an opportunity to meet the artists in their studios and learn about their practices and work.

This gathering is scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, from 6 to 8 pm ET, at the ISCP Ground Floor Studios located at 1040 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, 11211. Refreshments will be served during the event.

The ISCP has served as a center for global artists and curators in New York City for more than three decades, supporting creativity. Over 2,000 artists and curators from more than 105 countries, including the United States, have completed residencies at the institution.

The participating 2026-27 ISCP Ground Floor Residency Artists are Frank WANG Yefeng, Zoë Pulley, Keli Safia Maksud, Maya Jeffereis, Alicia Grullón, Erick Hernandez, and Kara Springer. Frank WANG Yefeng, a transdisciplinary artist based in New York City and Shanghai, explores themes of“in-betweenness” in his work. Zoë Pulley, a Brooklyn-based artist, educator, and designer, uses textiles, writing, and digital media to examine American heritage and Black stories. Keli Safia Maksud, an interdisciplinary artist and writer in New York, focuses on the intersections of space, power, and memory through installation, sound, and sculpture. Maya Jeffereis, an artist and filmmaker, creates video, performance, and installation work to expand on overlooked histories. Alicia Grullón, a US-born Dominican conceptual artist, critiques the politics of presence in political, environmental, and social spheres. Erick Hernandez's mural-sized figurative paintings explore individual and collective histories within temporal settings. Kara Springer investigates armature and underlying structures through photography, sculpture, and site-specific interventions.
