Ukraine Action Summit Opens In Washington

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to an Ukrinform correspondent, hundreds of delegates from various states are taking part in the event, which runs through September 16. They include veterans, representatives of civic, religious and charitable organizations, and family members of American volunteers who were killed defending Ukraine.

From September 14 to 16, participants will hold meetings with members of Congress. Key issues include strengthening sanctions against Russia, the return of Ukrainian children who were abducted, expanding defense cooperation, and supporting Ukraine's security needs.

The Ukraine Action Summit is organized by the American Coalition for Ukraine, a nonpartisan alliance of more than 50 U.S. nonprofit organizations.

The summit is held twice a year and brings Ukraine supporters from across the United States to Washington for briefings, training and direct advocacy with U.S. lawmakers.

As reported, the previous summit was held in Washington in April this year, with more than 700 delegates taking part.
