Ukrzaliznytsia Launches Modernized Electric Train On Lviv-Uzhhorod Route
"Despite daily shelling, we continue to modernize our rolling stock: the extensively overhauled Luhansk electric train EPL2T-002 is getting a new life on one of Ukrzaliznytsia's most popular regional routes," the company said.
The new train will operate on route No. 835/836 Lviv-Stryi-Skole-Tukhlia-Slavske-Volovets-Svaliava-Mukachevo-Uzhhorod starting September 15.
The refurbished carriages are equipped with soft and comfortable seats, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, power outlets, and Type-C and USB ports.

Tickets for the train are already available in the Ukrzaliznytsia app.
As was earlier reported, Ukrzaliznytsia carried more than 8.14 million passengers in summer 2026. This was more than during the same period in 2025, when 8.07 million passengers were carried, and in 2024, when the figure stood at 7.94 million.
