Pancho Lewis
- Assistant Professor, Net Zero Transition, Durham University
I research the grassroots politics of low-carbon and just energy transitions, and have a special interest in how people form, sustain, and dissolve attachments to (post-)carbon futures at a time when greenhouse gas emissions need to be rapidly reduced. My academic work closely informs my political work including in policy and governance spaces. I have worked as an advisor to public and third sector organizations (such as local authorities and climate charities) and previously served as a local politician with responsibilities for climate action at Westminster City Council.
Experience- 2025–2026 ESRC Postdoctoral Fellow, Durham University 2021–2025 PhD researcher, Lancaster University
