Qatar Chamber, Malta Discuss Investment Ties


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar Chamber second vice chairman Rashid bin Hamad al-Athba held a meeting Monday with Malta's ambassador to Qatar, Maria Camilleri Calleja, to discuss economic and trade relations between Qatar and Malta.

The meeting also focused on ways to further develop and strengthen bilateral ties, and reviewed key opportunities for cooperation between Qatari and Maltese business owners.

Al-Athba lauded the strong relations between Qatar and Malta, noting that Qatar Chamber supports enhancing cooperation between Qatari and Maltese companies across various economic sectors through effective partnerships that contribute to the growth of the economies of both countries.

He noted that the Qatari market welcomes various investments and offers a range of investment incentives and facilities that contribute to attracting foreign investment and enhancing the business environment.

Calleja said there is significant interest among Maltese business owners and companies in exploring the investment opportunities available in the Qatari market and strengthening cooperation with their Qatari counterparts.

She pointed to the possibility of organising a business forum, bringing together business owners from both sides to explore prospects for cooperation and partnerships in sectors including food, trade, services, pharmaceuticals, innovation, and other areas of mutual interest.
