Iran, UAE Seek New Path for Stronger Bilateral Ties
(MENAFN) Iran and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to deepen bilateral relations and broaden cooperation, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Sunday.
Pezeshkian made the statement in New Delhi following a meeting with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit.
“We agreed to move beyond the past and look to the future,” Pezeshkian said, noting that both sides were seeking a shared understanding on how to develop cooperation in the future.
The discussions also covered regional developments, with the two leaders addressing efforts to reduce tensions and promote greater stability across the region.
The meeting took place as the US-Iran conflict continues. The confrontation began in February following US and Israeli strikes on Iran and has since involved attacks against Iranian military, energy and economic infrastructure, alongside retaliatory Iranian operations across the region.
