Ninepoint Expands Its Highshares Line-Up With The Launches Of An Aerospace And Defense Covered Call ETF And A Sector-Balanced U.S. High Income Equity ETF

(MENAFN- GlobeNewsWire - Nasdaq) USHI begins trading on the TSX September 14 and EDHI on September 15, pairing large-cap equities with covered call strategies, up to 33% leverage and twice-monthly distributions

TORONTO, Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ninepoint Partners LP, one of Canada's leading independent investment managers, is pleased to announce the launch of two new ETFs on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX).

The Ninepoint Enhanced U.S. Equity HighShares ETF (TSX: USHI) and Ninepoint Enhanced Aerospace and Defense HighShares ETF (TSX: EDHI) expand Ninepoint's HighShares lineup with diversified exposure to U.S. large-cap equities and focused exposure to global aerospace and defense companies, respectively. Both ETFs seek to provide regular income and long-term capital appreciation through curated portfolios of widely held companies and covered call writing, and may use leverage to increase investment exposure.

“Income investors want more choice in the companies and sectors they own,” said Karl Cheong, CFA, Executive Vice President and Head of ETFs at Ninepoint.“USHI offers exposure to a targeted portfolio of U.S. large-cap companies across multiple sectors, while EDHI provides access to global aerospace and defense. Both combine focused equity exposure and covered call writing to pursue regular income and long-term growth.”

USHI offers broader US equity exposure

USHI is expected to hold approximately 25 U.S. large-cap companies across a broad range of sectors, including technology, financials, health care, energy and utilities. The ETF combines a sector-balanced equity portfolio with covered call strategy and leverage of up to 33% of the portfolio, with the objective of generating regular high income while providing the potential for long-term capital appreciation.

EDHI offers global aerospace and defense exposure

EDHI is designed to provide exposure to global aerospace and defense companies, including established defence contractors and businesses involved in space, cybersecurity and other security-related technologies. The ETF combines this equity portfolio with a covered call strategy and moderate leverage, providing investors with an income-focused approach to the sector while offering the potential for long-term capital appreciation.

Targeted equity holdings and regular distributions

The equity portfolios provide exposure to targeted lists of large-cap companies, rather than relying on ongoing discretionary changes to stock exposure or holdings. The covered call strategies also apply defined parameters to option coverage, strike prices and expiries. Each ETF is designed to pay distributions twice a month.

USHI has closed its initial offering of units and will begin trading today on the TSX. EDHI's units are expected to begin trading on the TSX on Tuesday, September 15.
