Turkish Foreign Minister Meets Syrian President During Damascus Visit
(MENAFN) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa in Damascus on Sunday during an official visit aimed at strengthening discussions between the two neighboring countries.
Fidan was received by al-Sharaa after arriving in the Syrian capital, according to reports, as part of a series of high-level meetings between Turkish and Syrian officials.
The Turkish foreign minister had earlier held talks with his Syrian counterpart, Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani, where the two sides discussed bilateral matters before appearing together at a news conference.
The presidential meeting followed those discussions and added to Fidan’s diplomatic engagements during his visit to Syria.
