Ukraine Hits Key S-400 Radar Station In Sochi

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) As reported by Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a Facebook post.

On September 13 and overnight into September 14, Ukrainian Defense Forces units struck a number of important Russian military targets.

In Sochi, a 92N6 multifunctional radar station belonging to the S-400 Triumf SAM system was hit.

The 92N6 is a multifunctional radar station that tracks aerial targets and guides surface-to-air missiles toward them. As part of the S-400 system, the radar is one of the key elements responsible for carrying out the system's air-defense missions.

In the areas of Kursk and temporarily occupied Donetsk, storage, preparation, and launch sites for Russian strike UAVs were hit. In Novohrodivka, Donetsk region, a UAV command post was struck.

Radar stations were hit in the areas of Lityzh, Trostenchyk, and Lipovka in the Bryansk region.

Near the Saki airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea, a short-range navigation radio system was hit.

Three repeaters were hit in Rokhmanovo, Krasny Styag, and Kamen in the Bryansk region.

The extent of the damage is being assessed.

As reported by Ukrinform, during a combat sortie in the Donetsk sector, a Su-27 fighter crew carried out a precision strike on Russian military positions, destroying two enemy D-30 howitzers.
