Tlaib Demands US End Gaza 'Complicity' After Preschool Attack Reports

(MENAFN) Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan called on the US government Sunday to halt what she described as its "complicity" in Israel's military operations across the Gaza Strip, following reports that a preschool facility had come under attack.

"The genocide is still happening. There was never a ceasefire," Tlaib wrote on X.

The congresswoman said children continue to bear the brunt of military operations, adding that minors are "being killed with American made bombs, and those that live are traumatized forever."

She further stated that the US administration "must end its complicity in these atrocious acts of ethnic cleansing."

Tlaib's remarks accompanied video footage showing Israeli forces raiding a kindergarten in the Palestinian enclave, with roughly 200 young children reportedly trapped inside the building amid active gunfire.

According to figures cited in the report, Israel's military campaign in Gaza has killed more than 73,000 Palestinians and wounded over 174,000 others, while inflicting widespread damage on civilian infrastructure.

Separately, Gaza's Health Ministry reported that Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in place since Oct. 10, 2025, have killed 1,369 Palestinians and injured 4,627 others as of Saturday.
