Consul General of Kuwait visits Empower, discusses opportunities for cooperation

Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation PJSC (Empower), the world’s largest district cooling services provider, received H.E. Khaled Abdulrahim Al-Zaabi, Consul General of Kuwait in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, at Empower’s headquarters in Dubai. During the meeting, both sides discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise in the district cooling sector, as well as prospects for collaboration with relevant entities in Kuwait.
During the visit, H.E. Khaled Abdulrahim Al-Zaabi was briefed on Empower’s extensive experience and expertise in developing the district cooling industry and operating its systems, as well as its role in enhancing energy efficiency and supporting sustainable urban development. He also toured the company’s state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre, where he was introduced to the advanced technologies and digital systems used to manage cooling operations and monitor the performance of its plants and distribution networks.
The meeting also included a review of key developments in the district cooling sector, highlighting the importance of adopting high-efficiency solutions to keep pace with urban growth and the increasing demand for cooling services. The two sides also discussed opportunities to exchange knowledge, best practices, and technical and operational expertise, supporting the development of sustainable and effective solutions that enhance energy efficiency and optimise resource utilisation.
