Academic Bridge Programme Records Growth In Applications And Enrolment

Doha, Qatar: The Academic Bridge Program (ABP), part of QF's Pre University Education has recorded significant growth in applications and student enrolment for the current academic year 2026-2027, reflecting increasing demand for its programs and academic pathways designed to prepare students for the transition to university and equip them with strong academic foundations for their future.

ABP saw a 35% increase in applications compared to the 2025-2026 academic year, while student enrollment rose by 40% compared to the previous year, with a total number of 255 students.

Students enrolled this year are pursuing a diverse range of academic pathways aligned with their future academic and career aspirations. Of those enrolled, 45% are pursuing the STEM track, 26% chose Social Sciences, 25% selected Humanities and Visual Arts, and 4% opted for the newly introduced medical track. An additional 39 students, representing 16% of the student body, are enrolled through the Tajseer pathway (Bridging high school graduates from the Arts/Literary track to the Science track through the STEM track at the ABP).

The student body remains predominantly Qatari, at 94% of enrollment, alongside an international cohort of 6%, including students from the United Kingdom, China, and Syria, reflecting ABP's continued commitment to serving both Qatari nationals and the wider regional and international community.

The outcomes achieved by ABP graduates demonstrate the program's impact in supporting students' transition to higher education. Of the 2025-2026 graduating cohort, 78% enrolled at universities in Education City, while 98% secured admission from total number of graduates to leading universities in Qatar and internationally, which is the highest in ABP's history since 25 years.
