Unlike awards based on nominations or editorial selection, the ComponentSource Publisher Awards are based on actual sales performance.

For the 2026 awards, ComponentSource ranked publishers according to the total USD value of sales generated across their entire product portfolio between January 1 and December 31, 2025. Sales made to customers in more than 180 countries were aggregated, with refunds deducted and non-USD transactions converted into USD before establishing the final publisher ranking.
