LUMERA Unveils Its Inaugural Luxury Lifestyle Edition in Doha

DOHA, QATAR — 13 SEPTEMBER 2026
LUMERA, a new luxury lifestyle platform conceived in Doha, has today unveiled its inaugural edition. The six-day exhibition will open at The Ned Doha from 9 to 14 November 2026, presenting a curated selection of houses and creators across eight categories of the luxury lifestyle.
LUMERA is a curated luxury lifestyle exhibition and evolving platform, created for distinguished houses, visionary creators, collectors, private clients, industry leaders and audiences with an appreciation for exceptional craft and considered experiences. It has been conceived as more than an exhibition: a carefully composed world in which luxury can be discovered, understood and experienced rather than simply displayed.
At its heart lies a simple belief: true luxury is not defined by visibility alone. It is found in the detail of something made by hand, the story behind an object, the emotion attached to a place, and the connections that remain long after an experience ends.
“LUMERA began with a question I kept returning to: why do so many rooms full of extraordinary things feel so ordinary to be in? The objects are remarkable. The setting around them rarely is,” said Lara Mahfouz, Founder of LUMERA.
“A house needs conditions in which its story can actually be told, and a client needs the time to understand what they are looking at. Those conditions have to be designed, and Doha is the right place to design them. This city respects its cultural identity while embracing the world, and its hospitality has never been hurried. Our ambition is to create a platform that distinguished houses want to return to, and a world our guests look forward to discovering year after year.”
A World Curated with Intention
The inaugural edition will span eight categories: fine jewellery and watches; haute couture and fashion; beauty and perfumery; art and collectibles; home and interior design; real estate and investment; hospitality and travel; and bespoke services.
LUMERA is currently curating its inaugural selection of regional and international houses and creators, with participants to be announced in the weeks leading to November. Selection is treated as an editorial decision rather than an allocation of space: each house is considered for its provenance, its craft and the story it brings to the world LUMERA is composing.
The inaugural edition will present this selection across approximately 80 curated exhibition spaces at The Ned Doha, arranged so that each house can be experienced with depth rather than encountered in passing.
Conceived in Doha
The spirit of Doha is central to the LUMERA story. Rooted in Arabian heritage while embracing contemporary cultural ambition, LUMERA reflects a region in which tradition and progress naturally coexist. Arabian craftsmanship, hospitality, equestrian heritage and cultural expression serve as points of inspiration, translated through a refined contemporary perspective.
Born in Doha. Created for the Gulf. Connected to the world. The platform is intended to be visibly of this city while speaking to an international luxury audience.
A Platform for Meaningful Exchange
Beyond its cultural and experiential positioning, LUMERA is being developed as a platform for meaningful commercial exchange, connecting participating houses with private clients, collectors, entrepreneurs, business leaders, tastemakers and luxury consumers from Qatar and the wider GCC. The audience is being cultivated for relevance rather than volume, through relationship, reputation and selective outreach.
The Experience Begins Before the Doors Open
For LUMERA, the journey does not begin on the first day of the exhibition. It begins with anticipation: an invitation, a detail, a story, a house waiting to be discovered.
In the weeks leading to November, LUMERA will gradually reveal the people, houses, craftsmanship and ideas shaping its inaugural edition, allowing its world to unfold one chapter at a time. Guests can expect a considered environment shaped by brand storytelling, curated hospitality, private engagement, editorial content and moments designed to inspire discovery and conversation.
Because some experiences are not simply attended. They are remembered.
Beyond the Exhibition
LUMERA’s ambition extends beyond its November edition. It is conceived as an evolving platform rather than a single event: one that continues to build stories, relationships, collaborations and visibility beyond the exhibition, creating an ongoing connection between remarkable houses and the region’s luxury community.
November will mark the opening of that vision, and the beginning of a story designed to continue long after the doors close.
