Barrier-Free Shelter For 250 People Set Up In Central Kherson


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, Kherson Regional Military Administration Head Oleksandr Prokudin announced this on Facebook after inspecting the new shelter together with Kherson City Military Administration Head Yaroslav Shanko.

"The facility can accommodate up to 250 people at the same time. The premises have been fully renovated and equipped for long-term stays - utilities were replaced, ventilation was installed, restrooms were fitted out, and backup power was set up. In addition, the space was equipped with benches, beds, a supply of drinking water, and other necessities," the regional administration head wrote.

According to him, the premises were equipped in compliance with accessibility requirements so that everyone can have access to the shelter.

The regional administration head expressed his gratitude to the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) for its assistance in setting up the shelter.

As Ukrinform reported, nine civilians were injured in the Kherson region as a result of Russian attacks over the previous day.
