PM Koretskyi And Lithuanian PM Discuss Continued Support For Ukraine's Energy Sector And Business Community

The Lithuanian government delegation's visit to Ukraine began in the city of Lutsk.

“We visited a symbolic site of our shared European history-Lutsk Castle,” Koretskyi said.

“Together, we honored the memory of Ukrainian defenders,” Koretskyi added.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine thanked Lithuania for its contributions to the Ukrainian Energy Support Fund.

“We discussed further support, in particular direct assistance from Lithuanian municipalities to Ukrainian communities. This winter, it will be critically important,” Koretskyi noted.

The parties discussed global food security-which Russia is undermining with attacks on civilian shipping in the Black Sea-support for businesses, and the prospects for introducing a war risk insurance mechanism, as well as projects to support and rehabilitate veterans, military personnel, their families, and those affected by the war.

“We also focused on reconstruction projects. Lithuania is coordinating this work through the CPVA agency-particularly in the education and healthcare sectors,” Koretskyi said.

“It is very valuable when such cooperation yields concrete results for Ukrainian communities and people. We are working to ensure that there are more joint projects,” Koretskyi emphasized.

As reported by Ukrinform, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda visited Ukrain on August 23–24.
