Russian Missile Terror Halts Navigation In Black Sea Sybiha

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said this at a joint briefing with Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski in Kyiv on Sunday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"We separately discussed the situation in the Black Sea, where Russia has recently been stepping up attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure, civilian vessels and maritime routes. It is not even stepping them up... Russia has halted maritime traffic and navigation in the Black Sea through its missile terror, and this also undermines global food security," he said.

Sybiha stressed the importance of joint cooperation with Poland to restore freedom of navigation in the Black Sea. The Ukrainian foreign minister also thanked the European Union for restoring the "Solidarity Lanes."

In addition, the minister highlighted the issue of Russia using Baltic ports to export its grain.

"It is important to remain vigilant here and prevent this. We discussed it. In general, it is fair to raise the issue of a full embargo on Russian products in the European market," the diplomat said.

On September 11, President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that the blockade of the Black Sea due to Russian aggression poses a food security challenge not only for Ukraine but also for many countries around the world.
