Zelensky Says Russia Launched 78 Missiles, About 2,100 Attack Drones And 1,700 Aerial Bombs At Ukraine Over Past Week
“This week alone, Russia launched about 2,100 drones at Ukraine. A significant portion of them were jet-powered 'Shaheds,' which the Russians are using to try to cripple the economy and destroy people's lives. The enemy also deployed nearly 1,700 guided aerial bombs and 78 missiles of various types,” the head of state noted.
According to him, on the night of and in the morning of Sunday, September 13, there were strikes on the energy sector, Ukrzaliznytsia, businesses, and ordinary residential buildings. Odesa was attacked with missiles and drones.
Zelensky noted that recovery efforts are ongoing in many western regions following the nighttime strikes. In particular, all necessary services are working near the Ukrainian-Polish border in Volyn, where the Russians deliberately burned a train locomotive and damaged a gas station with a drone strike.
“It is precisely to prevent these strikes from spreading further into Europe that Ukrainians-men and women alike-are fighting every day, giving their lives and preventing the aggression from expanding. Russian terrorism is a common threat to many, but it can and must be defeated in Ukraine,” the President emphasized.
