Israeli Airstrikes, Artillery Hit Multiple Southern Lebanon Towns

(MENAFN) Israeli forces carried out a fresh wave of airstrikes and artillery fire across several areas of southern Lebanon on Sunday, the state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported.

Israeli warplanes first struck the Ali al-Taher forest on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, then hit the town itself again less than 15 minutes later. The aircraft went on to carry out two back-to-back strikes on Kfar Tebnit, followed by a third strike on the town roughly half an hour after that.

A separate airstrike targeted the area around al-Dabsha hill on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, while Zawtar al-Sharqiyah came under Israeli artillery bombardment.

No immediate details were available on casualties or the extent of damage from any of the strikes.

Sunday's barrage adds to a pattern of continued Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon, even as diplomatic efforts continue in pursuit of de-escalation and a broader settlement.
