Houthis, Saudi Arabia Exchange Strikes Over Bab Al-Mandeb
US President Donald Trump says the Houthis have contacted Washington, asking it not to intervene in the conflict against Yemen's internationally recognised government.
Iraq has temporarily closed three of its border crossings with Iran after a drone launched from its territory targeted the East-West oil pipeline in Saudi Arabia. Riyadh suspended operations on the pipeline as a“precaution,” holding off on an immediate response.
Iran is expected to meet with Gulf states in Oman on Monday to discuss the Strait of Hormuz in an effort to promote regional security.
Houthi rebels say they carried out a strike targeting a military base in southern Saudi Arabia using ballistic missiles and drones.
