Over 30 Explosions Rock South Lebanon as Israeli Strikes Hit Homes
(MENAFN) More than 30 explosions tore through the southern Lebanese town of Al-Mansouri from late Friday into Saturday as Israeli attacks targeted homes and infrastructure across the area, Lebanon's official National News Agency reported.
Several homes were destroyed after a drone dropped containers of highly explosive material on the town, which also endured sustained artillery fire.
Across other parts of southern Lebanon — a region bordering Israel — Israeli warplanes struck the Tyre, Nabatieh, Bint Jbeil, and Marjayoun districts, while Israeli forces carried out additional explosions and artillery strikes.
In Khiyam, a powerful explosion shattered windows in neighboring towns, and a drone dropped explosive material onto homes, igniting a fire. The National News Agency reported no casualties from Saturday's attacks.
Saturday's assault followed a separate wave of Israeli strikes, shelling, and explosions across southern Lebanon on Friday, which targeted residential neighborhoods, homes, a school, and local infrastructure.
Since March 2, Israeli attacks in Lebanon have killed nearly 4,400 people and injured 12,500, according to figures released by Lebanese authorities.
Israel continues to occupy portions of southern Lebanon, including territory it has held for decades alongside land seized during more recent wars and military operations.
