Ukrainian Air Defenses Down 409 Drones Used By Russia To Attack Ukraine Overnight
Starting at 18:00 on Saturday, September 12, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 453 strike UAVs, including jet-powered Shahed drones, Gerbera drones, Parodiya decoy drones, as well as S8000 Banderol missile drones, launched from the areas of Oryol, Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, the temporarily occupied village of Hvardiiske in Crimea, and the waters of the Sea of Azov.
The air attack was repelled by Ukrainian Air Force aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 on Sunday, September 13, air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 405 drones and four S8000 Banderol missile drones.
Hits by missiles and strike UAVs were recorded at 13 locations, while debris from downed targets fell at seven locations.
