Ukraine Moves To Secure $29.5B In International Funding By October 15
“The government is accelerating work on the documents required to secure $29.5 billion in international financing this year. There are 42 documents – government resolutions and other decisions. We had pledged to adopt these decisions by November 1, but recognizing the complexity of the situation, we will speed up the work and complete it by October 15,” Koretskyi said.
According to him, all the necessary bills will be submitted to Parliament in September. As of today, 27 bills that need to be adopted are already in the Verkhovna Rada. Koretskyi once again called on all lawmakers, regardless of their political views, to support these decisions.
“If the government and Parliament fully carry out their part of the work, Ukraine will be able to secure the necessary funding from its partners and balance the budget,” Koretskyi stressed.
He added that the Defense Forces have a separate new funding requirement of $27 billion.
“We plan to cover this part of the deficit by accelerating the Ukraine Support Loan, using frozen Russian assets, securing additional loans from partners outside the EU, and optimizing spending within the budget,” Koretskyi said.
